Ex-lesbian: Obama destroying traditional families
Uses 'influence,' 'financial power of government' to promote homosexuality
: December 20, 2011

A former lesbian and leader of a Christian ministry says the current generation is embracing and advocating for homosexuality like never before, and it's because "Barack Obama is using his influence, and the financial power of the government, to promote it."

That word comes from Janet Boynes of Janet Boynes Ministries, which states up-front that its goal is to "minister to individuals who question their sexuality or who wish to leave homosexuality. JBM will seek to inform and challenge churches and society about the issues surrounding sexuality and teach how to minister to the homosexual community."

She told WND that many "young and naïve secularists" are busy at this point following Obama's leading on his sexually permissive agenda, and the result of that will lead "to the demise of traditional values and families," she said.

It also "Propagates the attack of Judeo-Christian beliefs on a global level."

But while other ministries are critical of Obama's pro-homosexual drive – he's put more homosexuals in positions of power than any other president, opened the U.S. military to open homosexuality and signed into law a "hate crimes" plan that provides special protections for homosexuals – Boynes goes one step further.

"The Bible says that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10)," she said. "It is his main objective to bring confusion and cause division within the church and he does this by altering God's truth in such a way that many Christians are deceived if they are not rooted and grounded in God's word."

Her testimony isn't complicated:

"I believe that what God has done for me, He can also do for you," she says to those who have chosen homosexuality. "If you are struggling with homosexuality, I'm living proof that there is hope through Jesus Christ."

Boynes tells WND that despite threats she has received because of her ministry, she will continue to shine the light of truth into a very dark area.

"There is nowhere Satan can have his way more completely than where sin and confusion reign," she said. "'You can't change,' Satan whispers. 'You were born this way, and whether you like it or not this is the way you'll be until the day you die,'" she said.

WND recently reported on the policy of the Obama administration to be the new global sex cop, and a recently signed executive order which some say is sure to promote "quotas" of LGBT hires for federal government jobs.

WND also reported on the push by various administration officials to normalize LGBT behavior, including the designation of "gender identity" as a protected status for federal jobs.

Hillary Clinton also recently promoted these ideals in a global speech, where she suggested that the "most challenging issue arises when people cite religious or cultural values as a reason to violate or not to protect the human rights of LGBT citizens."

As Joseph Farah, WND CEO, pointed out, "She's [Clinton] got her sights set on the opposition to this agenda – namely anyone who suggests this kind of sexual behavior is sinful."

Boynes certainly said that homosexuality is sinful, but she says it in love, as one who has actually been there.

Boynes' story of slipping into a same-sex attraction, and then a relationship, is one oft repeated across the globe today, and she's concerned about the increasing confusion and moral chaos, especially involving the push by the Obama administration to normalize "gay."

"There has never been a time in U.S. American history where there has been a president that has pushed so hard for the normalization of homosexuality and the LGBT causes across our nation in every government office," she tells WND.

She tells WND that Obama's push, now on a global scale, "comes from an ideology that sexual orientation is equal to, if not superior to, race and/or gender."

"This president is not in step with the majority of American citizens that believe in traditional human relations with marriage being defined as one man with one woman; and that homosexual behavior is wrong," she said.

Boynes' testimony urges homosexuals to take an honest look inside of themselves.

"I can tell you from personal experience that no matter what people living a homosexual lifestyle say about how happy and fulfilled they are, deep inside they know what they are doing is wrong and destructive," she says.

She also cautions that being judgmental won't help Christians reach them.

"If someone had confronted me with a judgmental attitude or even a hint of condemnation, I would've turned away," she said.

That's why her focus is on compassion and prayer.

She tells WND that she needed a demonstration of Christ's compassion in her life, and that is just what she eventually found. Through a conversation with a stranger, God called out to her, and the stranger invited her into a Bible study.

"It was through the committed, accepting, loving women in this group that the Lord led me back into His arms," she says. "They answered my questions, prayed with me, stood with me and helped me in every way they could."

"They mentored me in spiritual warfare and helped me break the devil's stronghold over my life. One of the women even invited me into her home to live for a time, where I was able to see how a spiritually and emotionally healthy family lived."

Of the culture that declares that people are either born "gay" or not, Boynes tells WND, "There is no gay gene."

She says, "I can't choose to change from black to white. I did, however, change from gay to straight."

She said those who say homosexuality is not a choice and believe homosexuals are born that way, "have no scientific authority to base that on."

"Thousands of ex-gays prove this to be true as well," she says.

The reason people choose to be "gay" may be as varied as people themselves. But she says in each case, "they made a decision."

Farah agreed, "I would like to hear more about how people become homosexuals if it is not through recruitment. Because if it is a genetic condition, clearly it would have been bred out of the gene pool long ago.

"Homosexual activity, unless coerced, is a chosen behavior, like any other sexual activity," says Farah.

While Boynes' testimony points to her own harsh childhood, including emotional, physical, and eventually sexual abuse, she still says that the choice for sin is for people to make.

"Our childhood background may have been a factor in influencing that decision, but it does not take away our responsibility for making the choice."

Boynes fear is that others who are called out of the "gay" lifestyle will be reluctant to share their stories after witnessing the harsh treatment she's received.

"Only because this is a controversial issue, many attacks are coming in against those of us who have come out of homosexuality,” she told WND.

She says that she’s received plenty of threats because of her ministry.

After being featured in an Oprah Winfrey Network documentary hosted by Lisa Ling, called "Pray Away the Gay," Boynes received much attention, mostly from what she describes as the "angry gay community."

"Those who oppose our belief system will never let us get away with our opinions and our stand on homosexuality," she said.

Boynes tells WND that this very fact is behind the push to draft anti-bullying rules and laws.

With the politically charged push for "gay bullying" laws, Boynes comments, "The gay community says that non-gays bully them, but you don't have to look very hard to see it's just the opposite."

"In reality we are being bullied by the gay community by imposing on us to accept what they believe," she said. "If we don't stand with the gay community we are either seen as bigots or bullies."

She says, "They bully me all the time, calling me traitor, and other things. … Until they listen to God calling them out of that sinful life, they don't understand."

Clinton's speech declared that the United States has much work to be done in the area of bullying,

"Many LGBT Americans have endured violence and harassment in their own lives, and for some, including many young people, bullying and exclusion are daily experiences. So we, like all nations, have more work to do to protect human rights at home," she said.

While Boynes may agree that no one should be abused, she doesn't agree that a sinful choice creates a new class of people.

"In no way do I support bullying, no person gay or straight should be subjected to any kind of abuse," she says. "This, however, does not mean that I agree with the lifestyle or their views."

That may be why her message of love resonates, and offers hope to those conflicted in their same sex attraction.

Her book, "Called Out, A Former Lesbian's Discovery of Freedom" carries that very message.

"We as Christians have a call to actively and aggressively reach out to those bound by sin and iniquity, and to offer God’s forgiveness and cleansing," she said.

She says that this message, given in love does not make you a bully, "We as Christians deserve the right to voice our opinion as the gay community has.

Tax Cut? No, Just Another Raid On Social Security Posted 07:04 PM ET

Politics: Lost in Beltway wrangling over a payroll tax cut, an ugly reality lurks: Our politicians are plotting yet another raid on the Social Security "trust fund," which is already near insolvency. When will this madness stop?

President Obama and his congressional Democrats know well how bad their spendthrift reputation is among voters as election day approaches. With Obama at sub-50% approval numbers and Gallup reporting Congress clocking in at a record-low 11%, they expect a bloodbath at the polls in November — and maybe another slashed debt rating, too.

What then could be better for Democrats than to be able to claim that deep down, they're tax cutters, too? Just like Republicans — whose corporate tax cuts in 1982 led to an unparalleled decade of economic growth.

But Obama and his Democrats don't want to direct any tax cuts toward investment for long term growth — as corporate tax cuts do — but to hand them out to taxpayers like party favors in the hopes it'll pay off come November. It's a political game, but they have few other options aside from cutting spending.

But there's a big catch: The payroll tax cut they seek is nothing more than taking cash from the back pockets of taxpayers and handing it to them up front.

The supposed payroll tax cut, as blogger Don Surber has noted, is a Social Security tax cut that comes through the Federal Insurance Contributions Act.

That means the tax cut will be achieved by taking $120 billion from the Social Security "trust fund."

Instead of getting rid of a bureaucrat or a thousand, the idea is to simply raid the Social Security trust fund one more time, hastening the day it goes bust.

As if it's not in bad shape already.

Sure as the sun comes up in the morning, the Social Security trust is already bankrupt, as demographic decline means less payroll taxes coming in for ever more retirees. By 2036, there won't be a dime in it, and the only money to pay a growing field of retirees from a shrinking pool of workers will be from those workers' contributions. The payroll tax cut proposed by the Democrats will only make that day come sooner.

So let's call it what it is: A tax hike on the young to pay those already working, with the added kicker of an empty pot at the end of the Democrat rainbow.

The iron law of economics remains: With this proposed payroll tax cut, Democrats will cut spending not by getting rid of useless regulators and bureaucrats, but on future retirees who've contributed 12.4% of their income to Social Security trust fund all their lives and expected some sort of return.

Obviously, they think voters will forget about it once it's done and they've reaped the political spoils. After all, they've done this countless times before.

But it comes against growing worries from workers near retirement that maybe they really will get stiffed when it comes time to draw Social Security.

According to an Allstate-National Journal poll released last week, America's near-retirees above age 50 expect to retire six years later than those retiring now. More than half expect to work because they have to, compared to 11% of retirees today.

"They're alarmed, but when you look at the numbers for projected savings at retirement and consider the prospects for Social Security and Medicare, you have to wonder whether they are alarmed enough," wrote Clive Crooks on his Atlantic blog page.

Barbara Hannah Grufferman, writing in the Huffington Post last May, reported that her own survey of women revealed "the fear of not having enough money as they get older."

Yet instead of stopping this coming implosion of Social Security — and talking seriously about setting up a system of private accounts, which was wildly successful in places like Chile — Obama and his allies are opting to make the Social Security Ponzi scheme even more insolvent than it already is.

Kick the can down the road and leave the inevitable bankruptcy to the next guy. The only people who lose are the taxpayers.

How ironic that only Democrats can take a tax cut and find a way to stick it to the taxpayers
