I don't have a crystal ball about the housing market but I do note a few things:
  • Around here, foreclosures are way down.
  • I am seeing a huge pop in acceptances of mortgage modifications from lenders.
  • People who had been considering walking away and renting are reconsidering, as the market doesn't favor renting anymore.
I think a lot of this is heavily skewed by political forces, not just market forces.
