Gold's up $18 bucks tonight. I don't think that indicates it's lost its lustre..

Gold is reacting to Europe like everything else.

Europe just needs to stabilize. U.S. data is improving and Chinese data almost HAS to improve unless they want to see an "Asian Spring" (which I really don't think they want to see with 200,000,000 Chinese marching on Beijing).

Gold doesn't do well in a deflationary environment and the ENTIRE world is doing everything they can to avoid deflation.
