I keep seeing RIM fade away like Nortel. The government is talking about protecting RIM as a crown jewel corporation even though Canada is not an Aristocracy. "Vive le BlackBerry libre!"

Microsoft and I believe Nokia are looking at taking over RIM.

That will probably be blocked by the Federal government for the same reasons BHP could not take over POT.

BHP should take over CCO and POT at current prices and install some better management.
