lorne, look at who started the game. Obama has bent over backwards in an attempt to compromise with House Republicans but they keep moving the goalposts. It's time to teach them a lesson.

lorne, It's all a game to people like you right kenny...no thought to what is best for all of America, the only thing that matters to creatures like you is winning what you think is some sort of game.

No, it is not a game, but, hard nosed bargaining and understanding human psychology and how individuals are motived to face reality many time through potential pain being inflected on them History is full of this type of motivation.

Sometimes individuals, as in the previous baseball strike have to face the potential "pain of not settling vs the pain to settle." It becomes, what is the least painful. This is true in the Courts, labor relations, Congress or international affairs, and sometimes interpersonal relationships, etc. Sometimes reasoning does not work!!

Right now the House TEA Party and Republicans are and will get blamed for the loss of income by those receiving a pay check and not getting unemployment checks in January. Canter and his Republicans if they keep doing what they are doing are reinforcing the re-election of Obama.

There most certainly is a game being played. A year long agreement will be reached and the politicians will agree to make the agreement retroactive to January 1, so no one will have an increase...I don't see the blame issue down the line...that is silly...as are two month extensions...
