For the Longs:

A number of months ago, Ibexx spent a good deal of time laying out a very clear long term case for the Rambus thread. The case for long term ownership was supported with an in-depth technical analysis of its product and a fundamental look into the industry's competitors. Based upon its own merits, I don't believe that many of us will argue with either case. The greater division occurs when the discussion comes to when or at what price we should pay to own Rambus.

Since then, Betty Ann Poe has championed the long term case in the trenches against all manner of onslaughts from shorts, "know it alls" and well intentioned pundits. In some measure her fight may have converted some to the long term case, perhaps even including Greg.

I know very little about the short term game, as my successes have come from long term positions. My suggestion to all long term holders is to avoid spending excessive time trying to ring out the last dollar in taking your positions. In the long term, the prices you pay now will pale in comparison to the gains which will be realized. Rambus is a clear case for long term ownership. It's not a CISCO yet, but it will dominate at a level which is still unappreciated by most investors.

Hi Marc.

The "long-term analysis" that you referred to belongs to Mr. Chaplinsky. I apologize if this wasn't made perfectly clear.

Glad to know you did well--between classes. <ggg>

Regards,
Ibexx
