lorne, How will it look to American voters when they realize that none of this was necessary if the deal had been for 1 year like the republican speaker wanted?? This is good strategy by Obama. It gives the constituents of each Congressman the opportunity to be questioned about their position for possibly cutting off their unemployment and the tax increase for the working middle class. The attitude of the Republican Congressmen/women may change after they have interacted with their constituents during their vacation. We will wait and see if there is a change. Will the Republicans cut Boehner as Speaker and put Canter in as Speaker of the House?
