Why doesn't Harvard close down their institution in Cambridge and build a new one in Tehran or Riyadh? Then, the school can lobby the host Islamic government and citizens directly to accept its egalitarian worldviews, including diversity and multiculturalism. Gee, I wonder how that would be received? As the Muslims approach and enter a large mosque in Tehran for their mid-day prayers, I wonder how they would tolerate the president of Harvard standing outside and telling them, "We must all embrace other each others' cultures and values and learn to live together; Muslims and Christians. Black, White, Red, Yellow, and Brown. Atheists and believers. Straights and gays. We must embrace each other and learn to accept differences, value everyone, tolerate alternative ideas, and blend together as one. I am the president of Harvard! I know what's best and I command you in the name of humanity!" What would they do to that nutjob?
