Another example of the useless president - he asked for a one year extension and then goes for two months with plans to get the one year after the Christmas break. If everyone wants one year then just approve one year - this is such a waste of time with everyone trying to claim they won something in a debate that is not even over.

The mistake was in doing a "payroll tax holiday" to begin with. It made no sense whatsoever -- you give a few bucks to people who don't really need it, create a bigger hole in SS funding, and just add it onto the deficit. Stupid.

It should never have been done in the first place. IN the overall scheme of things I'm not sure anyone will notice other than the talking heads.
