Paul, Red Fork Energy (RDFEF.PK) -- thanks for bringing that one up, I looked at it very briefly awhile back and have been meaning to look at it more closely. A guy a respect a lot, bobwins, is a big fan of Red Fork and discusses it on the Value Microcaps Energy board on Investors Hub, see siliconinvestor.com .

In looking at their presentation I see that they have a lot of "gas baggage" also -- about 85% of their 2P reserves are gas on a 6:1 basis, per a presentation they put out last June. I'm trying to avoid this high a mix of gas vs. oil. Their 2P reserves don't include anything for their 50K acres in the Miss. play, so I understand that oil/gas mix could change dramatically over time, but as of now they are predominantly gas.

Also I don't understand why these guys listed on the ASX given that they are OK based and have zero activity outside of that state, if I read their presentation right. This is not the only company I've run into recently that is US based but listed on the ASX. Does anybody know why these companies are choosing this route? It seems silly to go on the other side of world from the place that you are operating, to list your stock. As we've seen with NiMin, its tough enough to make it by listing in neigboring Canada.

Hope all had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
