The common denominator in that set of qualities which cranks out a

career politician (e.g, Newt, Paul, Obama), career administrator (e.g., Dimon, Fuld) or both (e.g., Corzine) is
the ability to say what needs to be said to get what one craves for: power, wealth, success.

What needs to be said? Whatever they feel you need to hear to give them what they want.

When the clear light of day shines on their actions, Corzine says "I didn't know!", and Paul says "I didn't know!". How does one tell the difference between Paul and Corzine? Impossible.

If you have unquestionable clarity in your vision of the difference between Paul and Corzine it could be that your eyeballs are made of pure gold.
