Ron Paul opposes a lot more than that. I like his positions on those particular issues, but he very quickly goes over into fringe territory on many others. Therein lies his problem.
I do like for him to speak up in the GOP debates. He brings a broader perspective, especially to the GOP hardcore, who seldom hear such blasphemy. We'd be better off if the Democrats and Republicans did not totally dominate our political process. But you go to vote with the parties you have, not with the parties you wish you
had. Gee that sounds familiar :)

Obama opposed the war in Iraq. Which was quite unusual. Unlike Paul, though, he doesn't foolishly avoid all international responsibilities. Paul has no ability to discriminate between intervention that might be worthwhile and that which would not, because he has the kind of black and white mentality of a child. The more I learn about Paul, the more nutty I think he is- and aside from his faithful, who are no doubt as nutty as he is, to know him is to find him nutty. That's not name calling- that's merely truth in labeling.
