The gist of the article was Keefe, Boyette and Woods research giving large banks an avoid rating and a favorable outlook on small banks as acquisition activity will continue. Their research indicates that it is difficult to pinpoint the acquisition target but that at this time it is a good time to purchase the acquirer because of low valuations in the sector.
