COmpletely dishonest article. The comment about lies, darn lies and statistics comes to mind. Dodd and Frank were directly responsible for the failure of the two big F's.

Starting around 2002, Wall Street banks started their subprime binge and Fannie and Freddie began to lose market share.

Fannie and Freddie create the market, Wall Street then jumped in, then Fannie and Freddie jumped in harder. Hardly a defense of Fannie and Freddie.

Also its not just subprime but other risky loans that didn't quite fall under the sub-prime category.

And Fannie and Freddie are hardly the only ways government action contributed to the bubble.
