That is not my vision either. Just because a person wants a sophisticated foreign policy does not mean they want nutsy stuff. Although that does seem to be Ron Pauls logic.

When I was in graduate school I took a foreign policy couse from the Dean. Our reading list was 60 books and involed all major foreign policy from the 1500's to the present including the bombing patterns of WWII.

Foreign policy is very complicated. That is why Hillary has done well and Rice was a flop.

But I think Ron Pauls right wing racist policies are enough to avoid him. He voted against the 1964 civil righs act, MLK holiday and a medal for Rosa Parks. Not exactly a big thinker.
