The weather was dry and lovely. Since I was showing my mom the bay area that was nice for us. It was mild- at least compared to other parts of the country. We had Christmas with several of our friends, our children, and my friends' children- and it was absolutely lovely. I put three tables together so we could all sit at the same table, and we had ham (Niman ranch) and two different kinds of chicken. The desserts were the best part! We must have had 20 different kinds of cookies (including rum balls), 2 cakes, and a platter of tiny delicious pastries. Good eats. And the cheeses! My best friend brought some whiskey cheese with barley on the outside that was out of this world.
