I'm saying that the Democrats, lead by Obama, Geithner, and in collusion with Bernanke, have been the leading supporters of the bailouts for the banks and Wall Street. So "behind the banks" is more like it, but "are the banks" seems increasingly the case as well, given that Bernanke has bailed them out to the tune of hundreds of billions of free money from taxpayer wallets.

How can the Dems be the party behind the WS banks when the GOP is the party that wants them to be deregulated and with less consumer protection? I know of only one party that when they have total control seem to create a Gilded Age for the robber barons type atmosphere. And I know of one other party that is really for the people/the working class..
