Liberal investment ... Solyndra, the Volt, and HS grads who can't read show how well that works. When liberals talk about social investment, you're just hearing excuses for flushing money away. People only maximize their potential by working to do so. Liberals encouraging people to rely on government to do it for them, telling them that successful people were just "born on third base", teaching people that it's government's job to keep them from being left behind, teaches them not to rely on themselves and to waste their potential. The relationship of the healthy community to all it's individuals is something conservatives do not process. Liberals don't understand that self-reliant individuals are what a healthy community relies on. Oh and torture too, another fundamental difference between the "liberal" and conservative "mind." Baloney, arch-liberal Pelosi thought water-boarding wasn't tough enough when she first heard of it. Speaking of religion, didn't the Church use torture historically, BTW?? Stark differences. Not my church. Liberals love to take a few dark chapters of Christian history and claim it's the norm. Christianity arose in and did away with a world in which people were tortured to death in colosseums for the pleasure of the viewing masses. Ironically, Jesus apparently supported forgiving enemies, feeding the hungry, clothing and sheltering the poor, redemption, and peace over war. Yes, forgiveness was his mission on earth. But after he refused to condemn the woman caught in adultery, he said "Go and sin no more" showing he wasn't a liberal after all. I also missed the parts of the Gospel where Jesus demanded the Roman government distribute bread and circuses and send free doctors to heal the poor. Studies show liberals are chintzy when it comes to charity because they think it's the governments business to take care of people. Naturally, teach people the governments responsible and you kill private initiative.
