Obama has defanged the Democrats. Now that the Democrats have begun to champion tax cuts more loudly than the GOP, I have to wonder and admire just how successful Obama has been at turning Democrat Party values onto its head. The mythology was that the GOP never met a tax cut they didn't like and that the Democrats never met a spending bill they didn't like. In this tax debate, we've now found out that it is the Democrats who are trying to destroy Social Security with a Payroll tax cut and the GOP was fighting against that! Will wonders never cease. I am now convinced that this country is its own worst enemy. Oh and in case you are wondering, I am against the Payroll Tax cut. It's a meaninglessly small tax cut that has only one real impact...and that is to further destroy the solvency of the Social Security Trust Fund.
