Demographics is what is driving growth. Compare when science/technology forefront drove it. Tiny little nations rode the science/technology forefront. They were able to amass much wealth even not having territory armies and resources.

Minnows will be cut down to size. Power nations will return to their natural sizes.

If you develop anything based on science/technology today, price rock bottom, you go hunt the last Indian Indonesian and Pakistani and Egyptian to buy it. While your friend is smuggling it into Iran via Dubai.

Therefore resources:
water, energy, food, population this is what makes a wealthy country.
