Complicated issue. If they had ended oil subsidies at the same time would have been better. Ending the tarrif on Brazilian ethanol is an excellent move.

Excellent news! I've always hated that corn ethanol subsidy. And it's about darned time we lifted that sugar ethanol tariff against Brazil. I don't like subsidies that try to choose winners. I like more generalized subsidies that incentivize innovation in a strategic area like renewables.
