WAITING FOR SMALL CAP SURGE

It appears the Y2k sector is now being driven directionally by the day interest in the overall technoloy segment of the small cap market. My portfolio is now about 6% below the peak values reached in mid July and on October 10. This is about the same % variance that the IBD index of 20 leading growth funds. Given the fact that my portfolio dropped 40% from October 10 to October 20 as compared to 12 % before recovering I am delighted at the fast recent runup. I am especially pleased at the recovery of CHRZ ,even though it is a minor part of my portfolio. As I have recently postulated " As Chrz goes so goes Y2K.Five Y2K stocks (CPWR,MAST,CBSL,ANLY,ISLI)are listed in the IBD Weekend Review of all >7$ stocks within 15% of 52 week high, and EPS and relative price strength ratings greater than 85. This is the highest number of Y2k stocks in a long time and is a good sign that interest is returning in the sector.
