I want regulators to enforce reasonable and adaptable rules,

Practically speaking, today that means big government rules. There's nothing reasonable about the government making Boeing shutter a plant in South Carolina, mandating what kind of light bulbs people are able to use, or how power companies have to generate their power.

How in the world did Bernie Madoff fool so many liberals? Obviously, the dumbest herd members are those who get their news from a comedian like Jon Stewart and who can't tell the difference between Sarah Palin and Tina Fey. Why folks that deluded can believe Obama is a conservative.

There needs to be a rewriting and rebooting of the entire system starting with the tax code. The U.S. and Canada is turning into a giant nuthouse of rules and regulations. There are too many people enforcing the rules and too much time wasted trying to comply with the rules. The government has such a big book to throw at you that you may immediately consider yourself guilty as charged. The Catholic Church with their original sin were pikers compared to what the federal government has invented.

"Putin is the best thing that has happened to Russia since time immemorial. which says something about what transpired before him i guess. he's a vast improvement on the drunk that held the reins previously, and being an ex KGB guy he presumably has files on enough people to successfully parade any challenges to his power that might arise. he also happens to be popular with Russian voters, since Russia's economy is booming ever since he took over. oil prices? important, but not the whole story. consider this: the Russian tax laws basically consist of one sentence: "everybody is to pay a 13% flat tax"."

Fear works, especially among those in a paranoid herd who don't think for themselves. "

like all the fear mongering over global warming ?

Like how the repubs are gonna push granny over a cliff, like how the reps are gonna starve little children and make grandma eat dog food. you mean like that
