[Bidders]

Jon --

We're all in this together in terms of wondering if there will be other bidders. I would imagine anyone hoping to block TI would have to do it before they get 51% of the shares through the tender. After that, no one stands a chance. TI will have won.

A good friend phoned MOT this morning to tell them he was concerned that they'd now lost 3 of their biggest CopperGold customers and what were they planning to do about it. The IR guy said, "We're likely to make a statement within a couple days."

What does this mean? No more than it says: they may make a statement.

But, who knows, maybe the other chipmakers are preparing statements, too.

So, yes, speed is of the essence and probably why TI chose this means of acquiring Amati and not some other more time-consuming form.

Just my take. And, believe me, I'm holding --- and just exercised all my Nov. 17.5s. :)

Cheers!
Pat

P.S. Total of known shares not being tendered is now well over 4 million.
