Lafler said today on Fox he greatly admires Mitt as well, and that he would do a great job if elected. Lafler just thinks Newt would do an even better job.

My back of the envelope calculation shows that the Federal deficit spending amounts to about $400 per each man, woman and child in this country. And this is only the borrowed amount. If an average family of 4 with an average income will keep spending 1.5-2K per month above their means, they'll go broke. And this is exactly what our politicians are doing on our behalf. And - recall that half of us do not even pay federal income taxes. This makes it quite a nifty burden on those who do. Laffer, or whoever will be in charge of these issues, better do a good job.
