Roger,

This is not an Amati, but a stock called Wind River Systems (symbol WIND) has some outstanding potential. They make embedded real-time operating systems--potentially the next Microsoft in this category. Since they are a software house, they are not in competition with other box builders like WSTL. WINDs software is on the Mars Pathfinder and RTOS systems can run in automobiles, household appliances of the future, you name it. I am not an expert here, but if you are interested go to the WIND thread and read posts by Allen Benn--the Wind River expert there. Looks like this stock may have the potential to double every year.

Hal

Roger --

I'll probably become an avid TI fan if the deal closes. I actually bought my first batch already. It won't be the start-up play we had with Amati, but if TI succeeds in capturing the ADSL patents, combined with their DSP expertise, they'll most likely rule this market for the next 5 to 10 years and beyond.

If you thought "Intel Inside" was exciting, I'm predicting "TI Inside" or some variation one day will equal it.

Of course, I could be wrong.

I'm also looking at a couple smaller plays.

Cheers!

Pat
