The polls mean nothing when you don't like what they show and you want to be optimistic.

Oh bull****! They mean nothing at this time, period. To pick your candidate 11 months in front of election based on a poll, is not credible. And just so you know, I would vote for Donald Duck if he ends up the Republican candidate.

Do you ever wonder why we get this valuable polling information for free? Do you think the pollsters go to all this expense because they think it's their civic duty.

They do it because they get paid big bucks. And no one spends big bucks without what they consider a very important agenda.

And even, for the sake of argument, the pollster ask unbiased questions and the results are 100% accurate. How does the body politic benefit from knowing that 45% believe a and 37% believe b? Does it encourage or discourage independent thinking.

Whenever you see someone shake their head sadly and with a knowing grin tell you your idea may be good but it's never gonna happen, you can be damn sure that guy has been listening to polls.

If I was king I'd ban 'em all outright.
