It seems that in terms of US shopping days, the calendar fell out about as well as possible this year. Thanksgiving was early (Nov 24th), and the Xmas work holiday was after Xmas instead of before. I guess that 2nd point (when the work day off occurred) isn't that big of a plus for shopping, but the early Thanksgiving gives a few more shopping days than usual. That might make US retail results good this year, or make what might have been a relatively weaker season turn out instead to be average.

Everybody go buy a smartphone please....SIMO's bread and butter end market.
