would this be done using today's closing price and trade executed prior to market open or would you execute the trade after market close on Friday?


You have to put trade orders in before market close on Tuesdays and Fridays, and then you get the market closing price that day. So if you want to trade Friday, get your order in before the market closes on Friday.
