It does look like swarms of anchor babies from the Mexicans. The reproductive rate around the world is continuing to decline dramatically as the culture of large families is eliminated from human experience. Women now grow up with none, one, or two siblings at most. So they have no cultural norm for crowded dinner tables, nappies on the clothesline, and life in a mob.

It's good because it means the Malthusian drive to over-run neighbouring tribes, murder the males and take over the land and females has pretty much dropped out of history. The vastly complex interwoven trading links mean such genocidal war is economically hopeless too. With comingled DNA, it's not even genetically all that useful to find the best gene pool. Blessed are the Geek for they shall inherit the Earth.

If Greece was to adopt Tradable Citzenship and wrap optical fibre around the place they could become world leaders - Blessed Are the Greek Geek for they shall inherit the Earth = recommended slogan for Greece for 2012.
