I don't disagree with that, just wonder how you get there? If bond holders don't get paid do you think they are going to lend Greece and Italy more money? Not without much higher risk premium. That risk premium is higher interest rates. This is a sliding slope and since the bond holders are often in other countries, why should they be happy with losing their money so that the Greeks can retire at 58? In a way it is a problem without a solution.
