I find it illustrative that he has little to nothing factual, but does have a personal attack.

Three things that I've never read from Williams about the lying CPI:
1. Medical is about 6.5% of CPI, but about 18% of GDP (BLS math 'magick' - must be those person corporations using most of the medical services, as opposed to real humans ;-)
2. the BLS uses hedonics, but no reverse hedonics in the sense of subtracting for poor quality of particle board furniture vs. real wood furniture, as just one example.
3. Anyone who knows people who have lived on SS only for a while knows without doubt that their standard of living falls every year, and CPI-W on which the SS yearly adjustments are based is higher than CPI-U.

as all shadow stats attempts to do is reporting the numbers as they had been calculated by the officialdom before the officialdoms successively and progressively improved the methodology of numbers calculation

Are you sure? I am not at all sure how they get their numbers, in spite of what they claim. All I know is that the implications of the shadowstats numbers are ridiculous. For example, that the US has been in a deep recession almost continuously for the last 20 years.
