I have some material things that were own by those who came before I....but the things I most cherish are the letters they wrote....with those, I feel that they actually touch me when I read them....

One of the projects that I did a few years ago that gave me such pleasure, was taking the 30 years of letters I'd saved from my husband's folks, putting them (and the envelopes they came in) into crono order, having a printer shrink those that were bigger than a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, and then printing copies of these letters for a two volume set of books for the kids. I also made 12 pages of collage pictures of what the kids were doing when their Grandparents were writing the letters, and inserted them in the appropriate time frame....They loved this "gift from the heart" that Christmas...

Every time I use something one of my ancestors owned I feel like something is being passed on.
