Abiogenesis does not depend on any outside seeding , how biological life and the building blocks for it form , just simply out of inorganic material by the natural processes all present rising out of the Earth's early chemical laboratory. No God is or meteor was ever needed for this just apply occam's razor to the evidence which is all around us written in the rocks .Makes for once good dated scifi (and religion ), but truth is life starts up everywhere in the habitable zones , uncounted times "out there" . Just look at the impossible unexpected places we find life existing right here on this planet . The evidence is also written in the terrified upset believers that remain in denial in this common universal evolutioary spark , of planetary life beginnings that once again finds many of their most sacred cows (Earth centric, Man centric universe ) have already been crushed beyond any pale . How did the earliest matter form into self replicating conveyors of information ? With lots of time of course ,the same time that it took for them to finally realize & accept the earth was not the center of all things ....a long long time ! ;o)
