Holy Toledo, Batman! A million shares in 50 minutes, and down a buck 30! Has my computer gone to disneyworld? To all the long suffering shorts, time for a little relief. Candlestick, congrats. My sympathy to the brave but soon to be poorer but wiser long. Story stocks bite. I have my own scars--AMTX, for example. Try INVX with what's left, if you like it after you do your homework. Mark a trial portfolio at today's price, and call me in a year, and if I'm wrong, I'll grovel publicly here. Luck to all, Jim

This yesterday: CDRD: <<announced today that its offer to exchange shares of its new 10 1/2% Series C convertible preferred stock for outstanding shares of its 5% delayed convertible preferred stock had been accepted by all holders of the existing preferred stock as of the expiration of the offer at midnight last night. In accordance with the terms of the offer, the Company will issue approximately 1,932,073 shares of Series C convertible preferred stock in exchange for the 4,988,781 shares of 5% preferred stock that were tendered. The new stock is expected to be issued on Thursday, November 20, 1997.>> Could someone with better grasp of these issues offer a read on the actual process, and the effects or relationship to thursday and today's spectacular events, please? I didn't realize I entered a den of shorts. Is anyone long here?? CDRD is holding up nicely in lieu of the 2.8 million shares being floated today. Should have been clobbered if you subcribe to the SHORT theory. I think you made all the money possible from $25 down to $18 but this puppy ain't going any lower. Merrill ain't no chump outfit and not looking forward to a class action suit if this tanks immediately. Blue Monday couldn't wipe CDRD and neither will the SHORTS! Look at all the support today! You all better start covering cause we are going higher!
