am guessing that a regular buy and buy and buy program, year after year after year would have worked out okay and beat stocks, bonds, as well as real estate during the same buy buy buy elapsed time

we shall find out the answer before the current episode is all over and done with, i fear

There exists a hard vs. paper asset cycle that has existed since as far back as I can find decently reliable data, and its highly correlated with inflation.

Do you recall what happened to interest rates during this time frame? Or who was Fed head?
