We were at our friends' house across the culdesac. Left just before midnight and by the time we got home it was 2012. The wish was expressed at our little party that 2012 will be a better year. I hope that is true for everyone here, especially those of us who have lost loved ones.

I did you one better - I made it to 11:30. ;) Check this out. It's from Maphead's Book Blog, who named his favorite books of 2011: A Time to Betray: The Astonishing Double Life of a CIA Agent Inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran by Reza Kahlili. Yet another one of those books I knew nothing about prior to grabbing it at the library. An incredibly unbelievable but true story of an Iranian spy. Expertly edited, too. Plus, the book’s author and I traded emails after he read my review thanks to my posting on Goodreads ! maphead.wordpress.com
