Actually, they see him more as the current Jesus.

Depends on whether you believe Jesus was the son of god or just a prophet. Mormons believe he was the son of god and that their presidents are only prophets.

Pretty sure Catholics think of the Pope as a prophet as well.

Only muslims consider Jesus just a prophet.

Today the Prophet is Thomas Spencer Monson, he is the mortal head of the church and directly above him is Jesus Christ. He is God's mouthpiece to man on Doctrine and the matters of the Church.
