Those are two of the best in the game in terms of being rational, sophisticated and basing their views on a ton of experience each in DC. I have no doubt that watching today's bizarre antics must be very nauseating for them.

Norm Ornstein said on Diane Rehm this morning that he and Tom Mann are just finishing another book together entitled "It's Even Worse Than It Looks."

I hear very good things about Mann who is, as I recall, at Brookings. But I've not read any of his stuff. Ornstein I find unpredictable. Some of his stuff is helpful and some is sort of edgy partisan.

But it certainly looks like a book worth reading. Thanks.
