Excellent post. Agreed the federal government must start shrinking - it's humungous size is a major drag on the national economy. And YES as well to your point about Social Security. It's wrong-headed and a waste of time to have any discussion about eliminating the program. Every American at some point has benefitted from an elderly family member who is not totally dependent on other family members for their financial support.

Has Romney mentioned plans to downsize the federal government? IMO that would be a major vote winner.

The problem in this country is the voters. The schools have dumbed down the population. Anyone who didn't see though Obama and his bullshit shouldn't be allowed to vote again.

The elections have become an American Idol contest. Look for more un qualified Presidents like Obama in the future.

to fix this we need to get rid of the teachers union and the political correctness that they teach

Your blame on this is misplaced. It is congress who is responsible for the debt limit political football game.
