Well I just found your post on Angola. I became interested in Angola when I had a friend from Portugal who had lived in Angola when I attended Landon, a private school in Bethesda. Md., for two years.

landon.net

Well (as I mentally meander around with thoughts), I also noted on 11/20 in the Sunday Edition of the NYT (which I subscribe to now) an article about Angola and Portugal.

The point of the article is that now with Europe as a whole and Portugal in particular suffering immensely economically. the whole relationship has changed. Decades ago Angola was pretty dependent on Portugal in every way, but now Portugal is depending and counting on help from Angola which is very rich with natural resources.

Because of my many decades ago interest, I clipped and scotch tapped the article to a door.

Life and the world has changed immensely.
