Lot more plate tectonic activity going on a still hot earth , the magnetosphere doesn't get going till 3.5bil yrs and still weak but enough to start preserving the atmosphere from more volitile solar wind events( much younger sun ) and so much activity in volcano chains and ventings near the surface . Not to mention much greater meteor activity that tails off later showering new elements down and we have atmosphere formation .

As the mantle cools we have the first evolution of rock/mineral formation with so much material recycling of the active plate subductions ...the whole thing is preparing the materials for an Abiogensis from the start . There would literally millions of tidal shallows pools with vents as well as sea floor vents that would be active 24hrs a day for 100's of millions of years . And each one of those vents is a chemical lab for creating the more complex materials for Abiogenesis .

That would be one amazing journey back in time and amazing what they have conjectured just from the geological models for those ages .

The "faithful" can hide their eyes & remain with heads buried in the sand , nature made enough of it for them to do so ! ;o)

You could fill the ocean with proteins but not get an information encoding system.
