zeta, I presume that Rom Paul is coming in on top followed by Santorum in Iowa. It would be good to see Romney in 3rd or below because of the negative ads he put out against his fellow Republicans. It would also signal that voters shun big money to buy their votes like Romney has attempted to do.

The scary thing is that while this president has insisted that he’ll ignore certain parts of the bill, should it remain in place there is no guarantee that the next guy will do the same. The best we can hope for at this point is for Congress to once again swing to the Democrats, for Obama to be re-elected, and then work on undoing this abomination. Ted, the above is the comment at the bottom of the post and exactly what Rachel Maddow said...this law is absolutely dangerous in the hands of the wrong president. Given how far right and extreme the R party has gotten with the attendant power of the MIC, this is a disaster waiting to happen....I believe. I trust that Obama knows what he is doing.........either he didn't have a choice, or he has a plan. Time will tell.

zeta, I couldn't agree with you more. Older people, like myself, have learned the hard way that if the power exists to use, then someone will use it at some point in time, and they will have the most reasonable of justifications to use it at that time. The best thing to do is to make sure the power is never theirs in the first place. Then it CAN'T be used. Our Founding Fathers tried to help us avoid slipping into Tyranny. Benjamin Franklin said, "[I've left you] A Republic, if you can keep it." It seems that we were not equal to the task. Our generation will go down in history as the generation that lost the USA it's Freedom. It's incredibly sad.
