I don't recall any "gun hugger" using that scenario where everyone is dead and then somehow seek to commit murder themselves to justify gun ownership.

"Gun huggers" are trying to be prepared for the worst, not seek revenge after the fact - in fact my entire family knows how to shoot rather well and can operate revolvers, pistols, rifles (bolt, pump and semi) as well as shotguns quite well.

We are prepared to defend ourselves, pretty simple concept.
