I believe that Sarah is very smart. And I think she sees the long term big picture. Priority 1 is to get Obama out of office. I would bet that she sees that Romney is the best bet for that. The leap from:
Romney --> Palin
is less than
Obama --> Palin

The one that I am worried about is Ron Paul. If he runs on a third party ticket he could muck things up pretty badly.

Here is my guess. She will wait for South Carolina. If Perry does well, she will support him.

Why? A fellow governor, a conservative much like her, a non-beltway member like her and a long shot.

Of course, she could also argue that Santorum supported the 'bridge to nowhere". LOL
