That is an illusion. There is only one party - the government growth party. The frustration comes from the fact that we have no choice. That frustration is becoming volcanic.

We need more than one party. If the republicans became the anti-government-growth party they would dominate politics for a generation. They don't care. Their statist ideology is more important to them than even power.

Unsustainable means it will not last. I think in the next few years we'll see much volatility in the markets, in the economy, politically.... And as we emerge, as they say, on the other side, we will find that the central fed. Government will roll back, and the states will have more authority. Why so? Because Washington overplayed its hand and is taking us towards bankruptcy. The alternative is that some states will want to leave the union. There is yet another alternative, and that is further centralization of power and direct pressure on the states to comply. Such undercurrents also do exist... and we know where they may lead.
