Exactly. Republicans need to learn from the self proclaimed progressives. Obama may seem to have been a sea change, but he really was a culmination of a long list of minor progressive policy changes over many years. They were patient and their tactics brought an insipid progressive creep even into the republican party. As much as I hate the Rules for Radicals, I have to admit that it worked. Now we need to use their own tools against them. And we need to be patient and employ a strategy that will work rather than one that is ideologically pure but gets shot down.
