Also Romney is the perfect foil for Obama's #1 campaign strategy - class envy. Romney is by far the richest of all the candidates and he likes to spend it.

Just to make it clear, I still strongly prefer Gingrich in spite of his flaws.

But I am resigned to the high probability of Romney winning the nomination.

Not because I don't think he can beat Obama; I think he can, and will.

But because I don't think he would govern from the presidency in the ways in which the country so badly needs.

NB: All this from someone who, in order:

Was convinced that Daniels would run, and win;
Was excited when it appeared that Perry would enter the race, and would become the successful anti-Romney;
Just knew that Christie was gonna be the man;
Became enamored of Cain, supported him, and thought he would make a real race of it;
Was convinced by the debate performances that Gingrich was a clear winner.

So obviously, wtfdik?
