Scott,
What do you want. In message 5470 from Harley Morgan, the information about the plant closing was given. Even the reasons for the closing were given. Do you think that the president of QNTM has nothing better to do than issue press releases saying what everyone knows? It is not like the plant closing was a secrete or anything.

The plant closure is OLD NEWS. They talked about this in the last conference call and explained it thoroughly - at least to the degree that analysts wanted to know. They haven't issued a seperate pres release about the closure because it is just not that significant. Don't worry about it. I don't think it has had a lot to do with the selling of the stock, except perhaps for the small investor who ran scared. Anyway, it is now old news.

The important issue is how the pricing pressure in low-mid capacity PC HD market is going to effect earnings. It may be too early in the quarter, but it would be nice to hear an update on this from management. One thing to keep in mind is that Quantum is the one that is taking market share - this is something that they have engineered and executed on so it is probably much less of a surprise to them than it has been to WDC and Seagate.
