Your point about what is working and what needs to be fixed is most important here. At least the Pixtronix acquisition makes more sense today. However, getting fixes via that route is still likely a few years off. Unless Krait or Win8 kicks in the interim, ... (I'll retain the remainder of my thought here not to piss off the natives)

The demo that I saw and was impressed by was in the atrium of the Qualcomm building. It was inside, but full of natural light. I didn't get to hold the item but the demonstrator seemed to be holding it naturally. At times the audience was several people - the 10 degree viewing angle discussed in the review would have been clear.

The demo was different. We shouldn't be guessing as to why.
